ABOUT US
Dan and Kathy Wallace have been the proud owners of Wooly's Neighborhood Celtic Pub since 2013. When the Wallace's discovered that the 100 year old dive was on the market, they took a chance and became first time business owners. Even though the original bar (Henry D's) required a great deal of updating, the Wallace's were determined to bring their dreams to reality. Every update that you see in the pub was all painted and hand crafted by Dan himself. In addition to Dan's hard work, many Wallace family members partook in the updating and remodeling of the pub. If you look closely, you will find family influences throughout the restaurant bar. Some of those items will include; a stuffed pheasant that was raised on the Wallace's property, University memorabilia, images of the Wallace's beloved dog Duncan, and a hamburger named after Grandma Twila Wallace.

When it came time to introducing food to the new pub, Dan was adamant about using only fresh and never frozen ingredients. To accommodate this goal, Wooly's makes the French fries and house-made chips are from potatoes grown by local farmers in New Holland, PA. The burgers, along with many of the condiments are also locally grown and purchased weekly to ensure the freshest quality product.

In 2018, Wooly's fresh-ingredient efforts were payed off. Wooly's was recognized as Simply The Best hamburgers in Johnstown, PA. The Wallaces are very proud of this achievement and thankful for all of those who voted for their infamous "giant" hamburgers.
